Puffed rice is created by the reaction of starch and moisture. Rice grains are heated under pressure with steam. The grain expands to several times its original volume, and the starch gelatinizes almost completely. Puffed rice is a gluten-free food flake that provides your four-legged friend with particularly high-quality nutrients. The balanced recipe and easy preparation make puffed rice the ideal supplement to wet food or BARF fresh meat. Due to its size, puffed rice is also suitable for puppies.
