A greyhound, an idea, and the beginning of Goldenway
Sometimes the best ideas emerge where you least expect them – in our case: in a small garage in Riedikon, Uster. It all began here over 40 years ago with a greyhound and a great deal of passion.
The founders were dissatisfied with the pet food available at the time. So, they took the well-being of their animals into their own hands. Fresh meat from the butcher, carefully mixed, with heart and common sense. What started as a simple solution for their own dogs quickly became a small sensation – and the birth of the legendary Schnappi sausage. Soon, its aroma was drawing animal lovers from the entire region to the first Goldenway shop.
Much has changed today, yet the most important thing has remained: our love for animals and our passion for quality.
In Fällanden, we work with a young and young-at-heart team to carry on the idea from back then. From here, we supply customers throughout Switzerland and, of course, our loyal branch in Uster.
Because Goldenway is more than just pet food. It is a story of heart, craftsmanship, and the deep conviction that love for animals begins with quality.

For us, our furry friend is a full-fledged family member. While they may not care what their new collar looks like, we certainly do. We feel proud when we are out and about with our four-legged companions and are happy every day to have found practical items that also look so beautiful. True to our motto, we search for unique, high-quality pieces in small workshops, crafted with the same devotion that defines our own relationship with our furry friends. We believe that attention to detail makes all the difference.
