The feeding recommendation is actually a recommendation. To determine the exact amount of calcium and phosphorus needed for your dog in a self-prepared ration (e.g., with BARF), you must consider all components of the food (meat, offal, vegetables, etc.). The same applies to adding calcium and phosphorus to wet or dry food.
Please note: Especially with puppies, it is incredibly important to determine the required amounts precisely and regularly. The amounts may differ from our recommendations.
Due to the high digestible calcium content, you only need a small amount of bone meal daily for a medium-sized dog! Please do not overdose. These amounts are guidelines only. Actual needs depend on age, breed, and activity level. Please always provide your furry friend with plenty of drinking water.
