Catz Finefood is based on the prey concept. In nature, cats feed on mice, insects, birds, and fish. Therefore, Catz Finefood Classic contains over 93% fresh meat/fish/seafood/offal and cooking liquid, supplemented with exquisite additives such as valuable oils, vegetables, fruits, and herbs, which correspond to the small stomach contents of prey. The delicious wet food is also very popular with four-legged friends in terms of smell, taste, and consistency.
Formulated meat and meat meal are deliberately avoided, as fresh meat and offal provide higher-quality nutrients. Furthermore, the deli is gluten-free, and neither soy protein nor grains are used as cheap fillers or meat substitutes.
3 - 5% of the cat's body weight per day
Actual feeding requirements depend on the cat's activity level, age, size, and breed. Please adjust the daily feeding amount accordingly and always provide fresh drinking water. Complete food for cats.

General questions about fresh meat
- Allowed varieties: Beef, poultry (chicken, turkey, duck, goose), lamb, horse, game (roe deer, venison), veal, rabbit, ostrich and goat.
- Forbidden varieties: Raw pork and raw wild boar, due to the Aujeszky virus/pseudorabies, which is fatal to dogs.
- Fish: Cod, salmon or sardines are well suited – bones should be removed or cooked until soft
- Adult dogs: As a guideline, adult dogs receive approx. 2.5% of their body weightin total food per day.
- Ration breakdown:approx. 70–80% animal portion (muscle meat, offal, bone/cartilage)approx. 20–30% plant portion (vegetables, fruit, oils)
- Puppies & young dogs: Have a higher requirement, approx. 4% to 8% of the current body weight depending on age.
Advantages: Very highly digestible (good for sensitive stomachs), gluten/wheat-free, supports skin, coat, and the immune system. The intestinal transit time is significantly shorter (approx. 4–5 hours) than with dry food (up to 15 hours).
Disadvantages & Risks: Risk of pathogens (e.g., salmonella or parasites) due to poor hygiene, effort required for preparation, as well as the risk of nutrient deficiencies or bone injuries if fed incorrectly
Shelf Life & Freezing: Beibreits frozen fresh meat keeps for at least 8 months at -18 °C (provided the cold chain is maintained).
Thawing: It is best to thaw gently in the refrigerator (approx. 8–16 hours). Feed the thawed meat within 1–2 days.
Hygiene: Thoroughly clean bowls and mats with soap after every meal, then wash your hands.
For adult dogs, we recommend feeding the last meal of the old food at lunchtime, skipping a meal, and starting directly with a light raw meat meal (e.g. white meat such as chicken) on an empty stomach the next morning.
It can take around four weeks for the gastrointestinal tract to fully adjust.
This is generally not a good idea, but many people still supplement with commercial food for fear of nutritional deficiencies. If you want to do this, keep in mind that raw food and commercial food should not be mixed in one meal. Commercial food takes considerably longer to digest than raw food, and mixing them can cause bloating, constipation, and other digestive problems.
If you want to feed both commercial food and raw food, it is advisable to provide two meals; for example, commercial food in the morning and raw food in the evening.
