Horse meat is particularly low in fat and rich in important minerals and vitamin B. Because the muscle tissue has a higher glycogen content, the taste is sweeter than that of beef.

With GRAU's Pure varieties, we only use one ingredient in the can: 70% fresh meat, always from a single animal protein source. This makes them perfect if your dog has intolerances or allergies. They're also a great choice for a BARF menu, a homemade meal with our supplementary flakes, or for an elimination diet.

As a guideline, GRAU recommends approximately 4-6% (40-60 g/kg) of actual body weight per day.

When it comes to the amount of food, please rely on your experience and the amounts you're used to. The current feeding recommendation is based—as is now common practice—on energy content rather than primarily on volume.
